For the past fifty years, CharlottePerio’s primary mission has been to help patients maintain the health and appearance of their natural teeth for as long as possible through periodontal and surgical excellence. The practice is particularly proud and grateful to be able to collaborate with Charlotte’s finest dentists, each of whom is dedicated to providing the highest quality treatment for their patients. As periodontists, the doctors at CharlottePerio specialize in treatment planning and surgical services focused on exceeding the goals of their patients as well as those of the restorative dentist. They are experts in regenerating lost bone and gum tissue to preserve and beautify smiles. Working closely with the patient’s dentist, they craft a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the full scope of each patient’s individual dental needs from both surgical and nonsurgical periodontal therapy to their restorative care.
There are times when a failing tooth cannot be saved and replacement becomes necessary. The doctors at CharlottePerio are experts in implant dentistry and the surgical procedures related to state-of-the-art implant placement, including tooth extractions, bone grafts, and precise implant surgical positioning.

Dr. Robert Rubins established our practice in the early seventies. He was joined by Dr. Stephen Buck shortly thereafter and a few years later by Dr. Van Vagianos. These three men are responsible for setting the high bar for patient care, technical expertise and community service that we are proud to carry on today. We are grateful to them for the legacy of excellence they have left with us and we are determined to maintain those standards for years to come.
